The Georgian National Song and Dance Ensemble – Erisioni, the oldest and most historic folklore ensemble in the Caucasus, offers a vibrant show that brings together the most representative aspects of Georgia's cultural heritage, blending its spectacular dance with its beautiful music. On stage, 20 singers and 20 dancers perform a carefully curated selection of traditional dances and polyphonic songs that reflect the richness and diversity of the country's different regions. The repertoire consists of folk pieces passed down from generation to generation, many with roots dating back to before the 20th century, along with staged arrangements of themes collected throughout history, in a constant effort to preserve and revitalize national folklore. The performance stands out for its faithfulness to the original forms, as well as for the expressive power of its staging and the vocal depth of Georgian polyphony, recognized by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
