The ensemble “Erisioni” traveled to Spain in February.
February 19-22, 2026.

The Erisioni ensemble’s tour in Spain began in Gernika with a visit to the Basque Parliament Assembly, where we were hosted by the President of the General Assembly of the Basque Country, Ana Otadui Biter. The Erisioni choir presented a short program and performed examples of traditional Georgian folk songs.
The Parliamentary House of Gernika is a symbol of freedom, democracy, and the will and dignity of the people. It was under the Oak of Gernika that, for centuries, Basque leaders gathered and swore oaths to defend the rights of their people and their fueros (traditional laws and privileges).
This place unites history, identity, and respect for tradition. The host, Ms. Ana Otadui Biter, also presented Erisioni with a symbolic gift.
The concerts were held in four cities of the Basque Country, in prestigious theaters, all to full houses, with up to 5,000 attendees in total. Among the audience were the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Kingdom of Spain, Aleksandre Chkuaseli, as well as representatives of the Basque authorities.
The concerts took place in:

Bilbao – Arriaga Theater
Basque Region – Palacio de Europa Vitoria Theatre
San Sebastián – San Sebastian Victoria Eugenia
Pamplona – Teatro Baluarte
The events were organized with the support of the Ministry of Culture of Georgia and at the invitation of Cambay Media.
